How to Clean your Diffuser

Ultrasonic diffusers are an easy and effective way to use essential oils to create a welcoming environment with the benefits of aromatherapy. Whether you use your diffuser daily, or for special occasions you and your diffuser will benefit from regular cleaning, which improves the quality of your diffusing experience and extends the life of your diffuser.

Supplies you'll need to clean an ultrasonic diffuser:
  • Water
  • Vinegar
  • Soft cotton or microfabric cloth
  • Cotton swab

To deep clean (1-2 times monthly):

  1. Turn the diffuser off and unplug the power adapter.

  1. Fill the water reservoir halfway to its usual fill line with clean water, then add 1-2drops of white vinegar to your diffuser.

  1. Let the mixture run for five minutes, emptying what’s left in the container and rinsing the diffuser out.

  1. Use a soft cotton or microfiber cloth to gently wipe the water reservoir and mist plate.

5.Use a cotton swab to dry hard-to-reach areas.

    6. Wipe down the outside of the diffuser.

Quick Clean:

Ideally, it is best to do a quick clean of your diffuser after each use, or when changing scents. This will reduce the chances of mold or bacteria growth and will prevent your oils from mingling with past scents.

  • Turn the diffuser off and unplug the power adapter.
  • Empty all liquid out of diffuser.
  • Rinse thoroughly.
  • Use a soft cotton or microfabric towel to wipe water reservoir and mist plate (If oily residue is present, add a mixture of diluted vinegar and water to your cloth to remove it, rinsing afterwards.)
  • Dry or refill your diffuser.

Caution:  Every essential oil diffuser is different; please read the directions manual before you clean.
Corrosive or harsh chemicals may damage your diffuser.
